E-SPECIAL NEOLITHIC NO.1

ABOUT

The Dejawu E-Special Neolithic No.1 is one of the two E-Specials we could build of the unique and rare ancient maple. These two guitars will be the only two E-Specials that will be available for sale. Its semi-hollow body and three-piece neck are both completely hand carved from perfectly preserved prehistoric black maple that has been buried on the river bottom for almost 7500 years! Its stunning dark color has evolved completely naturally. Including the electronics and hardware, it only weighs a mere 3.1 kg. The nitro-cellulose lacquer is carefully hand polished between each application, highlighting the figuring of the grain, while maintaining the sound characteristics of the wood. The body is trimmed with a seven-ply flame maple binding. For extra reinforcement the neck has two carbon rods alongside the truss rod.

PICKUPS & WIRING

Häussel Tronebuckers are the perfect match on this model in combination with the Bigsby B7 tremolo. String height is adjustable with the Schaller* roller bridge and enables precise intonation and delivers an excellent sustain. The E-Special Neolithic No. 1 is equipped with a Free-Way 3x3-05 six-position toggle switch. With the switch in position 1, 2 and 3 you’ll find the standard humbucker sounds. In position 4, 5 and 6 single coils sounds are available. In this way, there are many sound options without having a lot of extra buttons on the guitar, ensuring a clean look.
