Dejawu Warranty 2023

Your new Dejawu Guitar is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years, subject to the limitations contained in this warranty. The Dejawu Guitars Warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only and may not be transferred or assigned to subsequent owners. 

In the case that your Dejawu Guitar malfunctions as a result of faulty materials or workmanship, Dejawu Guitars will repair the defect(s) or replace the guitar, as deemed appropriate by us.   

Dejawu Guitars reserves the right to use materials regularly utilized at the time of repair in the event that original materials are no longer available. If replacement of your guitar is deemed appropriate, Dejawu Guitars will replace the guitar with one of the same or most similar style of a value not in excess of the original purchase price of your guitar. 

This warranty covers the cost of both labor and materials on any repair deemed necessary. In the unlikely event that your guitar is destroyed, lost or damaged beyond repair, while in the possession of Dejawu Guitars for repair, Dejawu Guitars will replace that guitar with one of the same or most similar style of a value not in excess of the original purchase price of your guitar. Any insurance covering the guitar, including but not limited to collector's value insurance, must be carried by owner at owner's expense. 

!! This Warranty Does Not Cover: 

  • Damages due to misuse, negligence, accident, or improper operation by its owner or a third party.  

  • Damages that are the result of extreme (changes in) humidity or temperature.  

  • Normal wear and tear (i.e., worn frets, worn machine heads, worn plating, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, scratched pick-guards, or damages to or discoloration of the guitar finish for any reason).  

  • Cracking, discoloration or damage of any sort to the finish or plating for any reason. 

  • Electronics after a period of two years following the original date of purchase. 

  • Any guitar (or its ID number and/or certificate of authenticity) that has been altered or modified in any way. 

  • The subjective issue of tonal characteristics. 

  • Any damages that may occur during shipping.  

  • Any guitar upon which unauthorized repair or service has been performed. 

  • Normal maintenance related issues (polishing, truss rod adjustment, string replacements etc.)

Dejawu Guitars makes no other express warranty of any kind whatsoever. All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness or a particular purpose, exceeding the specific provisions of this warranty are hereby disclaimed and excluded from this warranty. Some states and/or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties so that the above may not apply to you.  

Dejawu Guitars is not liable for any indirect consequential, incidental or other similar damages suffered by the purchaser or any third party, including, without limitation. Damages for loss of profits or business or damages resulting from use or performance of the guitar, whether in contract or in tort, even if Dejawu Guitars or its authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and Dejawu Guitars shall not be liable for any expenses, claims, or suits arising out of or relating to any of the foregoing. 


REPAIR

Our guitars, like any other guitars, may need the occasional repair or setup work. In case your Dejawu guitar is in need of repair, here’s what you need to do.

1) You should notify us ASAP. If something is wrong, we would like to know. Please send us an email (info@dejawuguitars.com) describing the defect(s) in detail. If possible, attach one or more photographs clearly showing the defect(s). We will get in touch with you within 2-3 working days. If warranty work is required, you’ll have to send us your instrument. 2) Go to your local guy. If non-warranty work is required, we advise you to just go to a local guitar shop or repair man. Because we want to avoid unnecessary risk and expense shipping your guitar to our workshop in the Netherlands.The majority of issues that may occur are simple to fix with some minor adjustments to, for example, the nut or truss rod. You are not allowed to perform repair work (by yourself or a third party) without authorization from Dejawu Guitars.
