MGS | An Industry Tradition
Australia’s biggest celebration of fretted instruments, the Melbourne Guitar Show has been running since 2015. Initiated by the Australian Music Association’s Executive Officer at the time, Rob Walker, the show has always been popular with guitar lovers.
In 2025, the AMA’s current CEO, Alex Masso brought the show to a new venue which, combined with a new format, produced the most successful show to date, enjoyed by patrons, performing artists and exhibitors alike.
The Melbourne Guitar Show remains an event dedicated to the quintessential popular music instrument, the guitar, and all its associated technologies and published materials. We love associated instruments and products just as much – bass guitars, ukuleles, amps, pedals, strings, books, and more.
Every Melbourne Guitar Show provides a hands-on opportunity to see, hear and play a broad range of the world’s favourite brands, and will also see guitar retailers ready to deal.
More than sixty exhibitors present hundreds of products and services, with a blend of international and Australian instruments and guitar technology. Live performances from some of Australia’s best guitarists, as well as workshops on a range of topics make sure that each show has something for every guitar player or enthusiast.
